Job summary

Humanoid in Boston is seeking a Senior Robotics Prototype Engineer to rapidly iterate, assemble, diagnose, and evolve advanced robotic platforms for real‑world use. This hands‑on role sits on the Core Platform team and requires comfort with fast timelines and ambiguous problems.

You will partner with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to design, build, and bring up prototype systems, create clear test procedures, and drive manufacturability and reliability in mobile robots.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting complex electrical issues in prototype robotics.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and software engineers on prototyping.
• Ability to create and follow test procedures and repair runbooks.
• Experience with rapid physical prototyping and hand-on debugging.
• Familiarity with low‑voltage and mixed‑signal circuits.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting of complex electrical issues in prototype robots and share findings with teams.
• Collaborate on prototype design, assembly, and bring‑up with multidisciplinary engineers.
• Create and maintain test procedures, troubleshooting guides, and repair runbooks.
• Design and iterate on cable assemblies, test jigs, and harnesses for repeated use.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, downtime, and test efficiency.
• Support feedback loops across design, build, and test to improve yield and manufacturability.
• Demonstrate rapid physical prototyping and hands‑on debugging of hardware.
• Communicate clearly through documentation of procedures, plans, and diagnostics.
