Job summary

Jobgether SRL seeks a senior robotics software engineer to design, develop, and maintain middleware and frameworks in C++ on embedded Linux for reliable production systems. You will own platforms across their lifecycle and collaborate with autonomy, systems, and hardware teams to deliver scalable robotics software.

The role emphasizes debugging, profiling, and optimization, with opportunities to lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and shape engineering standards across complex robotic systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with modern C++17 or newer.
• Experience in embedded Linux environments, with multithreading, concurrency, IPC, and systems-level programming.
• Experience designing latency-sensitive, safety-related, real-time, or high-reliability systems; profiling embedded software.
• Ability to own complex software components end-to-end across design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operation.
• Strong troubleshooting and cross-disciplinary communication skills.
• Experience with robotics middleware or autonomous systems; NVIDIA Jetson or similar is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robotics middleware and frameworks using C++ on embedded Linux.
• Own platform components across their full lifecycle, including validation, deployment, monitoring, and operation.
• Collaborate with software teams to identify reliability, performance, and developer-experience challenges and build reusable solutions.
• Collaborate with autonomy and systems engineering on risk assessments, safety requirements, and software verification.
• Develop instrumentation, benchmarks, logging, telemetry, and fleet-level metrics for monitoring.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system-level problems involving concurrency, scheduling, IPC, networking, and constrained compute.
• Evaluate tradeoffs and contribute to architectural decisions for scalability and maintainability.
• Lead technical design reviews and contribute to engineering standards and documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship through design discussions and code reviews.
