Job summary

Dexmate is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead new product introduction for robot subsystems and final assembly. You will transform prototypes into repeatable, producible hardware, coordinating with mechanical, electrical, test, and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability and reliable ramp.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or hardware industrialization for robotics or similarly complex electromechanical products.
• Experience ownership of a product from prototype through pilot and production.
• Strong DFM/DFA experience with design and process changes that improve yield or cost.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC, casting, sheet metal, molding) and their tradeoffs.
• Strong mechanical drawing, GD&T, tolerancing, and 3D CAD proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing readiness for robot subsystems and final assembly across design reviews, pilot production, and ramp.
• Drive DFM/DFA reviews with design teams to improve part geometry and assembly.
• Select and qualify manufacturing processes with suppliers, evaluating performance and cost.
• Define assembly processes, BOMs, routings, and work instructions.
• Plan and lead engineering and pilot builds, coordinate materials, tooling, and inspection.
• Develop fixtures and tooling for precision alignment and assembly.
• Collaborate with test/firmware to include calibration and in-process checks.
• Resolve first-article issues with root-cause actions and cross-functional closure.
• Lead manufacturing readiness reviews and engineering change controls.
