Job summary

Serve Robotics seeks a Senior Manager, Hardware Engineering to lead a team responsible for designing, validating, and delivering electrical and electronic systems powering our autonomous robotic platform. You will partner with Mechanical, Embedded Software, Systems, Manufacturing, and Product teams to execute complex hardware development from concept through production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics or related field.
• 8+ years in electromechanical hardware systems.
• 3+ years in engineering management or technical leadership.
• Experience delivering hardware from concept to production.
• Strong background in hardware design, PCB development, sensors, power systems, and system integration.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects (hardware, software, manufacturing, systems).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of hardware engineers with regular feedback and mentorship.
• Manage priorities, projects, and resources to deliver hardware programs aligned with product goals.
• Provide technical leadership for design, development, integration, and validation of autonomous robotic hardware.
• Collaborate with mechanical, embedded software, systems, manufacturing, and product teams.
• Lead engineering planning, reviews, and execution to meet schedule and quality targets.
• Identify risks and mitigate to maintain progress across programs.
• Drive best practices in design reviews, validation, documentation, and improvements.
• Support manufacturing readiness with cost, quality, and reliability targets.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and organizational development for the team.
