Job summary

Dyna Robotics is seeking an engineer to own the health of the humanoid robot fleet, from root-causes on bench hardware to telemetry tooling for degradation detection. This hands-on role spans hardware, firmware, controls, and data infrastructure, serving as the go-to person when a robot behaves unexpectedly.

You will root-cause failures, bench-test components, and develop calibration and test tooling. You will also build fleet health metrics and runbooks to ensure robust operation across fielded

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in robotics, mechatronics, hardware test, or reliability engineering, with fielded hardware experience.
• Hands-on bench skills: soldering iron, multimeter, calipers, and ability to repair electromechanical assemblies.
• Understanding of actuator failure modes and linking evidence to design causes; not focused on large structural design.

Responsibilities

• Root-cause complex fleet failures, including actuator dropouts, encoder drift, thermal events, CAN bus faults and control-stack issues.
• Bench-test suspect actuators and electronics, perform repairs, re-commission components, and build validation rigs.
• Design and fabricate mechanical fixtures, brackets, mounts, and modifications through fabrication or vendors.
• Translate data into design changes; work with mechanical, vendor models, and joint-limit specs.
