Job summary

You will collaborate with a mission-driven team, apply C++ and Python to build robust ground-based perception, and help expand our platform across utilities and industrial customers. This role is based in NYC with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in perception for robotics.
• Fast-paced, high-ownership environment with collaboration and independent thinking.
• Proficient in C++ and Python.
• Extensive SLAM experience, ideally with ground-based LiDAR.
• Experience with extrinsic and intrinsic sensor calibration, including automated data-driven calibration.
• Nice to have experience with wide-angle cameras.

Responsibilities

• Improve quality and consistency of the product across operating conditions, leading SLAM development with new sensors and GPS-degraded environments.
• Accelerate delivery by leveling up sensor fusion and calibration, fusing multi-user and multi-session maps and aligning LiDAR with imagery.
• Enhance scalability and reliability by reducing reliance on extrinsic measurements and catching data quality issues at the source.
