Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff Robotics Engineer to lead robotics automation across manufacturing. You will select, design, and deploy robotic systems from concept to production, optimize programs, and ensure safety and integration with controls, mechanical, and production teams.

The role emphasizes senior-level expertise in robot programming, EOAT, and vision systems, with a focus on national-scale production automation and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field
• 12+ years of hands-on robotics and automation in manufacturing
• Expert in programming and commissioning FANUC and UR robots
• Proficient in robot simulation software (ROBOGUIDE, UR Virtual Controller, Visual Components)
• Strong knowledge of robot kinematics, dynamics, motion control, and path planning
• Experience tuning robot drives and motion systems
• Familiar with ISO 10218, RIA R15.06 safety standards and safety functions
• Proven EOAT selection and integration experience
• Knowledge of EtherNet/IP and Profinet
• PLC programming experience (Allen Bradley and Siemens)
• Experience integrating vision systems for guidance and quality control
• Experience designing robotic dispense systems
• CAD experience with NX or AutoCAD
• U.S. Person due to export controlled information access

Responsibilities

• Select, design, and integrate robot/cobot applications for automation
• Develop and debug robot programs, including motion planning and safety configurations
• Specify and integrate EOAT and tooling
• Design robot cell layouts and safety enclosures
• Implement and verify safety functions (STO, SLS) per standards
• Develop simulation models to validate reach, time, and collisions
• Configure robots for application software, hardware, and peripherals
• Develop internal robotics standards and safety practices
• Collaborate with controls, mechanical, and production teams for seamless integration
• Define robotics technology roadmaps and internal standards
• Provide technical leadership and mentor robotics team
