Job summary

Anduril Industries in California seeks a Staff Robotics Engineer to lead perception and planning for autonomous vehicle platforms. You will serve as a technical lead, senior IC, and/or team lead, driving end-to-end ownership from architecture to delivery.

You will advance sensor fusion, CV, SLAM, motion planning, and testing, collaborate across software, hardware, and systems teams, and travel up to 20%. A US Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in robotics, mechatronics, CS, or engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of C++ and/or Python software development.
• Experience as a senior perception or planning lead for robotic systems.
• Ability to own a system across stakeholders and roadmap management.
• Ability to validate perception and planning modules.
• Eligible for US Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-year software roadmap across teams for vehicle autonomy.
• Lead architecture and delivery of perception and planning capabilities.
• Collaborate with external teams on interfacing requirements.
• Design and implement safe navigation and collision avoidance.
• Develop sensor suites and planning algorithms.
• Perform high-impact IC work across perception and planning stack.
• Apply computer vision, sensor fusion, and ML to improve autonomy.
• Test and validate algorithms with simulation and real data.
• Cooperate with software, mechanical, and systems teams; travel up to 20%.
