Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to join the Thunder Team at our Costa Mesa HQ. You will solve a wide range of problems in networking, autonomy, systems integration, robotics, and perception, while making pragmatic engineering tradeoffs to ensure product interoperability and mission success.

The role requires strong systems-level knowledge, a proven software background, and the ability to work across teams with a practical, mission-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional industry experience with C++ or Rust.
• Experience building software with significant data processing.
• Ability to navigate complex systems and established codebases.
• Willing to travel up to 25% for testing and demonstrations.
• Active Secret Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Own the mission autonomy systems and services deployed to customers.
• Write code to improve products and scale mission capability.
• Collaborate across teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality.
• Create and analyze metrics used for debugging and monitoring.
• Triage issues, root cause analysis, and coordinate next steps.
• Partner with end-users to translate needs into features while balancing UX and constraints.
• Travel up to 25% to build, test, and deploy capabilities in the real world.
