Job summary

VeeAR Projects Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to own the electrical backbone of humanoids and cobot arms. You will take boards from schematic and power budgeting through layout, bring-up, testing, DFM/ DFA, and deployment on the factory floor.

You will work closely with mechanical, controls, and firmware teams to ensure clean power and trustworthy signals for real-world robotics applications. A hands-on, senior hardware role with prior shipped robot electronics is expected.

Qualifications

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or closely related field.
  • 5+ years designing and shipping electronics and electrical hardware.
  • Direct hands-on experience designing electronics for robots or comparable electromechanical systems.
  • Deep expertise in PCB design: schematic capture and multilayer layout in a major EDA tool.
  • Strong grasp of power electronics: distribution, DC-DC, battery/bus systems.
  • Hands-on with motor-drive and actuator electronics: BLDC/gate drivers, current sensing.
  • Fluency in analog/digital design, mixed-signal, sensing and signal conditioning.
  • Familiarity with robot buses (CAN, EtherCAT, SPI, I2C, RS-485).

Responsibilities

  • Own electrical design of robotic arms and humanoids end-to-end from schematic to production.
  • Design power distribution and conditioning for battery and compute rails.
  • Create and layout custom PCBs with a focus on power and signal integrity.
  • Integrate motor drivers and current sensing for BLDC actuators.
  • Develop sensing chains: encoders, IMUs, and voltage/current monitoring.
  • Define and run electrical test plans and life/reliability testing.
