Job summary

DoorDash Labs, the independent robotics group within DoorDash, is seeking a software engineer to own data visualization applications for robot data. You will bridge sensors, logs, diagnostics, telemetry, and mission intel for the Dot team, architecting end-to-end backend and frontend systems with autonomy.

You will build tools across autonomy, operations, product, and executive teams, work with 3D graphics and Web technologies, and maintain a high-quality, scalable visualization framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in full stack software development.
• Fluency with React and Typescript.
• Experience in 3d computer graphics.
• Comfortable independently identifying and solving problems with high ambiguity.
• Excel at working cross-functionally with stakeholders up and down the stack.

Responsibilities

• Build tools that help users across autonomy, operations, product, and executive teams understand robot behavior both on-road and in simulation.
• Expand upon extensive web tooling for interaction with time series data, video playback, and 3D scene reconstruction.
• Maintain a robust C++ visualization framework for transforming robot data into informative and beautiful 2D and 3D web output.
• Develop a portfolio of data introspection capabilities to support an expanding fleet of next generation robots.
• Maintain a high bar for quality and take pride in your work.
