Job summary

DoorDash Labs seeks a software engineer to own data visualization applications for Dot, our self-driving delivery robot. You will connect sensors, logs, diagnostics, telemetry, and users, and architect end-to-end backend and frontend systems with autonomy.

You will build tools for understanding robot behavior, expand web tooling for time series data, video playback, and 3D scene reconstruction, and maintain a high-quality visualization framework in C++ for browser output.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in full stack software development.
• Fluency with React and Typescript.
• Experience in 3d computer graphics.
• Comfortable independently identifying and solving problems with high levels of ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Own the applications used to introspect robot data and bridge sensors, logs, diagnostics, telemetry, and users.
• Architect and develop systems with a high degree of autonomy and own roadmaps.
• Build tools for understanding robot behavior on-road and in simulation.
• Maintain a robust C++ visualization framework for 2D/3D web output.
• Develop data introspection capabilities for an expanding fleet of robots.
