Job summary

Apptronik Systems, Inc. seeks a highly skilled Staff Compute Engineer to lead the design of a next-generation compute solution for its humanoid robot platform.

You will architect the compute stack to meet real-time performance, sensor bandwidth, and functional safety requirements. Responsibilities include defining system-level compute needs across motion, perception, and AI tasks, enabling high-speed data flows, and ensuring safe, scalable designs with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in embedded systems or robotics compute design.
• Bachelor’s degree in EE/CE; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience with safety-critical design and IEC 61508 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture of next-gen compute solution for humanoid platform.
• Define compute requirements for motion, perception, and AI tasks.
• Ensure real-time performance and high-bandwidth sensor data handling with safety.
• Collaborate with software, electrical, and systems teams for seamless integration.
• Own validation, DVT/PVT, and regulatory compliance tests.
