Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Innovation Engineer to lead robotics and automation initiatives in the NA Delivery Station network.

You will own end-to-end projects, partner with Process Engineering, Operations, and Facilities to deploy advanced automation and robotics across Amazon's last mile network. Lead pilots, build business cases, and define success metrics while collaborating with WW Engineering and product teams.

Qualifications

5+ years of design & innovation, research & development experience.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or foreign equivalent.
Experience with design & innovation and R&D.
Experience in managing engineering design projects.
Experience using MS Excel, MS Project and CAD software.

Responsibilities

Partner with product teams and WW Engineering to drive AMZL automation requirements.
Identify automation opportunities considering labor, cost, safety, and performance.
Write business cases to justify automation in Delivery Stations.
Define pilot criteria and success metrics for concepts.
Prepare technical docs showing flows, layouts, schedules, and budgets for new systems.
Capture lessons learned to improve next-generation designs.
Detail integration plans for MHE automation with controls.
Collaborate with simulation teams to validate ideas.
Represent AMZL in cross-functional tech discussions for future automation.
