As a Staff Software Engineer – Humanoid Controls, you will be a senior technical force multiplier on our Motion Control & Planning team — raising the quality of our robotics stack and moving to the hardest problems.

Your scope spans whole-body control for wheeled-base and biped platforms, learning-based hand control, mobile manipulation, and teleoperation —

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of industry experience in robot controls with hardware.
• Experience deploying controllers on physical robots.
• Familiarity with safety-critical software standards.

Responsibilities

• Raise the quality of the overall controls stack—architecture, algorithms, real-time performance, testing, maintainability.
• Advance whole-body control across platforms (wheeled and biped).
• Work across the stack on high-impact problems (learning-based control, teleoperation, mobile manipulation).
• Translate state-of-the-art methods into robust capabilities from simulation to hardware bring-up.
