Job description

Senior Robot Programmer (Multiple positions)

Preparation Activities:

Analyze project specifications and mechanical design of various robots regarding handling, connections, joints, and junctions for manufactured products. Develop initial designs from concept to fully functional and operational robot control software to meet project specifications.

Execution Activities:

Program PLC operational software. Conduct testing to ensure requirements are met according to project specifications. Implement improvements after testing. Optimize robot software into a fully functional process. Assess and ensure machine safety and security measures. Responsible for on-site programming, installation, and commissioning of robots at customer locations, providing clarity and support for customer inquiries.

Other Activities:

Travel to customer locations from the main worksite in Spartanburg, SC, as needed.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Robot Programmer, Automated Controls Programmer, or related role.
• Experience with commissioning robotic welding equipment (KUKA, Fanuc).
