Job summary

Gresham Smith is seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer to lead transportation planning and design projects across the state. You will manage client relationships, guide funding strategies, and oversee construction documents and cost estimates.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure delivery within schedule and budget in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of roadway design or transportation project delivery.
• AICP or Professional Engineer certification is desirable.
• Strong DOT project experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation planning and design projects from initiation through construction support.
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and scope.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and sub-consultants.
• Mentor junior engineers and support staff for project delivery.
