Job summary

Jacobs in North Carolina seeks a Senior Roadway Project Manager to lead complex roadway programs across NC. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and profitability while mentoring teams and pursuing business development.

You’ll drive delivery of highway infrastructure, collaborate with clients and internal teams, and ensure compliance with standards. This hybrid role requires NC licensure or progress toward it and occasional travel in the state.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina or ability to obtain licensure within six months.
• Significant experience managing transportation infrastructure projects.
• Experience with NCDOT, municipal agencies, counties, and client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and delivery of roadway projects from concept to construction.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and financial performance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and resources to meet objectives.
• Develop work plans, staffing strategies, fees, and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with NCDOT, local standards, and AASHTO.
• Oversee subconsultants and ensure technical quality throughout design.
• Build relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
• Support business development, including proposals and presentations.
• Mentor team members and support Jacobs’ NC transportation practice growth.
• Collaborate across Jacobs to advance transportation services in NC.
