Job summary

GAI Consultants Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer with 8+ years of experience in developing roadway design projects for FDOT in Florida.

The role requires PE licensure in Florida and oversight of junior engineers, with knowledge of ORD and Design Build considered a plus. The position involves leading complex projects, developing plans and specifications, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams across engineering, planning, and environmental disciplines.

Qualifications

• EOR for projects and the oversight of junior engineers in the development of plans, reports, and specifications.
• PE Registration in Florida is required.
• Knowledge of ORD and Design Build is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops and reviews complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
• Keeps informed of updates to standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Analyzes complex engineering projects to determine design requirements, uncertainties, and constraints.
• Assigns tasks to other technical staff and coordinates engineering work.
• Prepares scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
