Job summary

Halff invites a Senior Roadway Engineer with a Florida PE license to join our Northeast Florida Transportation practice. You will lead a high-performing team, manage client relationships with FDOT and local agencies, and drive roadway design projects from planning through final design.

The role emphasizes mentorship, business development, and project delivery while offering potential ownership opportunities within the firm.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of progressive experience with FDOT roadway/transportation engineering.
• Strong leadership and client relationship development in Northeast Florida.
• Ability to lead a project and supervise technical staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical expertise to the Transportation Team.
• Mentor and develop Transportation Team members.
• Oversee team performance: production, profitability, quality, staffing.
• Maintain and grow relationships with FDOT and local cities/counties.
• Identify opportunities and lead pursuit of roadway/transportation design projects.
• Direct project management and oversee project managers across multiple projects.
• Coordinate resources for cross-team collaboration.
