Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Florida.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive roadway/highway design experience.
• FDOT roadway design experience, including PS&E packages.
• Experience with FDOT design standards, procedures, and plans preparation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer.
• Strong written and verbal communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager and/or Roadway Design Lead for local agency and FDOT projects.
• Manage roadway design from concept through final PS&E delivery.
• Develop roadway plans, specs, quantities, cost estimates, and reports.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, quality, and client expectations.
• Coordinate with drainage, structures, traffic, utilities, and other disciplines.
• Apply FDOT/local design criteria and CADD standards to projects.
• Review drawings, calculations, specs, and estimates for accuracy and constructability.
• Mentor junior engineers and staff, and lead multidisciplinary teams.
