Job summary

Horrocks, a premier transportation engineering firm, seeks a Professional Engineer for Roadway in Meridian, Idaho. The role focuses on planning, design, and analysis of freeways, interchanges, and urban/rural roadways from start to finish, under the guidance of senior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Idaho or ability to obtain within one year.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in roadway transportation engineering.
• Experience with ACHD, City of Caldwell, City of Nampa and other Treasure Valley agencies.
• Strong collaboration on multidisciplinary project teams.
• Proficiency with AASHTO roadway geometric design criteria.
• Working knowledge of ITD standards and plan development procedures.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and analyze freeways, interstates, interchanges, urban and rural roads, and shared-use paths under supervision.
• Prepare transportation studies, technical memoranda, reports, and cost estimates.
• Apply AASHTO, DOT, and local standards to develop accurate, constructible roadway designs.
• Coordinate roadway design with drainage, traffic, utilities, structures, and right-of-way disciplines.
• Support Project Manager in scope, budget, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Take responsibility for assigned design tasks and ensure timely delivery and QA/QC.
