Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer to join our Franklin or Chattanooga, TN offices. This full-time role focuses on technical leadership, guiding complex roadway design efforts, and mentoring junior staff while supporting public-sector clients on high-visibility transportation programs.

The candidate will interact with clients regularly and contribute to business development, with responsibilities spanning project management, QC, and coordination across disciplines.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• PE licensure in TN or able to obtain within 6 months.
• TDOT design experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management and professional design services for municipal and TDOT projects.
• Lead senior-level designs and QC for roadway geometry, drainage, and traffic control.
• Coordinate with client management, other engineers, and marketing teams.
• Mentor Civil design staff and guide design direction.
• Lead project meetings and develop scopes, fees, schedules, and risk registers.
