Job summary

STV in Franklin or Chattanooga, TN seeks a Full-Time Civil Roadway Engineer with 5+ years of related experience to lead design efforts and mentor staff.

You will develop highway geometrics, prepare PS&E through construction, perform QA/QC checks, and collaborate with clients to meet project goals and budgets.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years' of related experience.
• PE licensure in TN or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• TDOT design experience preferred.
• Experience with highways, interchanges, roundabouts, and bike/ped facilities.
• Familiarity with ORD and/or Geopak.

Responsibilities

• Develop highway geometrics, 3D models, drainage and road design.
• Plan and design through PS&E and into construction with standards.
• Perform QA/QC checks to ensure plans meet design specs.
• Collaborate with engineers to deliver projects with client-focused needs.
• Provide guidance to junior/mid-level staff and assist in budgeting.
• Develop quantities, construction specs, and provide construction support.
• Track progress, budgets, and schedules; assist in business development.
