Job summary

Arcadis seeks a Senior Roadway Design Engineer to join our Mobility team in Houston, TX. Hybrid work is available, but you must be physically located within driving distance of the office.

You will lead the development of final roadway design plans for state and local projects, mentor junior staff, and manage scopes, budgets, and client relations across complex urban and rural highway projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• TxDOT precertification.
• 8+ years of progressive highway design experience with 3+ years leading on TxDOT projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct the development of final design construction plans for highway and roadway projects including design of all associated infrastructure for state and local government entities.
• Lead, manage, and perform assignments to take 30 percent schematic design plans through preliminary and final design on TxDOT projects.
• Develop project scopes and budgets; mentor staff and design/drafters; coordinate with clients and schedules.
