Job summary

HNTB in Columbia, SC seeks a Roadway Project Engineer to lead roadway design across transportation improvement projects. You will mentor junior staff, develop designs, and coordinate with clients and partners to meet project goals.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering with experience, proficiency in OpenRoads Designer and GeoPAK, and a track record in rural and urban roadway design. Locations include Columbia and North Charleston, SC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience, or Master's with 5 years, or PhD with 4 years.
• Experience using OpenRoads Designer and GeoPAK to deliver roadway design projects.
• Geometric design experience of rural and urban roadways, including interchanges, roundabouts, and complex intersection design.

Responsibilities

• Plan and distribute discipline-specific work, and manage schedule and budget on projects.
• Assist in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
• Assist with scope of work and level of effort for projects within discipline.
• Oversee completeness and accuracy of project team's work and mentor staff.
