Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager in our Indiana Roadway Design Group to lead the successful delivery of scope, schedule, budget, and quality for projects in the Ohio River Valley. This role will oversee multi-discipline roadway design efforts and serve as the primary client liaison.

You will mentor engineering staff, pursue INDOT and municipal opportunities, and help shape project strategy and business development within a collaborative, growth-minded firm.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive engineering experience.
• Experience managing engineering teams and multiple projects.
• Experience with INDOT and Indiana municipalities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and QA/QC for design deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with INDOT standards and review processes.
• Review and approve engineering plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports.
• Oversee adherence to regulations including permitting and environmental requirements.
• Lead project teams on complex engineering solutions and mentor staff.
• Coordinate with INDOT, DPW, and municipal clients to ensure delivery.
