Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. seeks an experienced Roadway Project Engineer to join our Indiana Transportation Team. The role involves roadway design for INDOT and local clients, mentoring junior engineers, and applying INDOT standards in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a flexible hybrid schedule.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Engineering, a PE license in Indiana (or reciprocity within 6 months), and strong CADD/OpenRoads design skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• Professional Engineer license in Indiana or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with INDOT standards and federally funded projects.
• Proficiency in CADD and road design software.

Responsibilities

• Roadway design for INDOT and Local Public Agency clients.
• Create and review calculations, quantities, specs, plans, and contract documents.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers on project tasks.
• Attend meetings and present engineering aspects.
• Work within schedules and budgets and apply INDOT design standards.
