Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector 4 in Charlotte, NC to oversee construction inspections on road and bridge projects.

You will manage subordinate inspectors, ensure compliance with project specs, and report findings to project leadership. The role requires extensive knowledge of construction practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements, with daily responsibility for documentation, client coordination, and on-site supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
• Basic math, geometry and trigonometry skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction inspection and reporting of concrete, earthwork, and asphalt pavement.
• Road and bridge construction inspection, material sampling and testing, and reporting.
• Accurately record and report daily forms per project requirements.
• Supervise subordinate inspectors and assist project management as required.
• Review reports and testing procedures for client policies and procedures.
• Submit time sheets, mileage and expense reports on time each week.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, staff, and supervisors.
• Adhere to project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Maintain OSHA safety standards and company policies.
