Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to understand construction plans, specifications, and procedures.
• Demonstrate basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Read, write, and communicate fluently.
• Work effectively as a team member and complete daily reports by hand and computer.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction inspections of road and bridge projects and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Inspect concrete, earthwork, and asphalt pavement and document findings.
• Accurately record and report daily forms per project requirements.
• Supervise subordinate inspectors and provide guidance to project management as needed.
• Evaluate staff performance and arrange training as required.
• Review reports and documentation for completeness and accuracy before submission.
• Submit accurate time sheets, mileage, and expense reports weekly.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, staff, and supervisors; resolve issues proactively.
• Adhere to project scope, schedule, and budget; maintain safety and standards per OSHA and client policies.
