Qualifications

• Must possess a valid licensure as a Practical Nurse in the state of Florida.
• Must possess a valid Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English: reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
• Successful completion of a Level II background check and drug test.
• One year of experience providing practical nursing in a long-term care environment.
• Experience passing medications in a skilled nursing facility.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Records.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care to veteran residents in accordance with agency SOPs and Nurse Practice Act.
• Administer medications and treatments per MD order; monitor and document resident status.
• Supervise CNAs and other care givers as assigned.
• Coordinate nursing care and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment and ensure supply utilization.
