Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) General Purpose to supervise daily nursing activities and ensure quality care in accordance with applicable regulations. The role involves directing nursing services, maintaining procedures manuals, and providing ongoing reports to the DON.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day nursing activities during your tour of duty in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
• Assist in directing day-to-day functions of the nursing services department and ensure policies and procedures are current.
• Maintain Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure all staff comply with it.
• Provide written and oral reports to the Director of Nursing on the operation of the nursing service department.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and facility surveys conducted by government agencies.
• Plan, implement, and participate in discharge planning and coordination of resident care with other departments.
• Greet residents, admit/transfer/discharge as required, and monitor shifts to ensure adequate staffing.
• Ensure medication administration and storage follow regulatory procedures and safety standards.
• Develop and maintain a positive, warm environment throughout the unit and shift.
