• Makes staff assignments reflecting patient acuity and staffing needs.
• Mentors staff and integrates new personnel into the unit.
• Acts as clinical resource and leader on the unit.
• Monitors and evaluates nursing care and patient safety during rounds.
• Maintains awareness of standards and ensures documentation compliance.
