Job summary

Valley Medical Center & Clinics is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Birth Center on the VMC Main Campus in Renton, WA. This full-time, 0.9 FTE night shift role requires a licensed RN and BSN preference, with duties spanning patient care, care coordination, and clinical leadership.

The RN will provide safe, high-quality nursing care utilizing the nursing process, report to the Nurse Manager, and support shift operations during overnight hours in a dynamic Birth Center setting.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Washington.
• Successful completion of a graduate nurse residency program orientation or six months' experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, guides, directs, and facilitates workflow on the unit.
• Makes staff assignments reflecting patient acuity and unit needs.
• Mentors staff, float, and agency personnel regarding unit policies and standards.
• Leads and models clinical staff behavior and acts as a resource to unit staff.
• Monitors nursing care and ensures patient safety and quality of care.
