Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Registered Nurse II for a full-time day shift at our outpatient surgery center. The nurse will provide professional nursing care, conduct assessments, assist with exams and treatments, and maintain patient records for a diverse patient population.

The RN II will collaborate with physicians and the interprofessional team to ensure compassionate, efficient, and high-quality care, while assuming leadership roles including charge nurse or preceptorship as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses and Registrations section
• Twelve months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care to a diverse patient population as an RN II.
• Performs nursing assessments, assists with exams and treatments, and maintains medical records.
• Communicates and collaborates with the physicians and interprofessional health care team to ensure quality care.
