Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an experienced RN II for a full-time Med/Surg assignment from 7 am to 7 pm. The RN II delivers professional nursing care, conducts assessments, assists with exams and treatments, educates patients, and maintains medical records while collaborating with physicians and the careteam.

The role includes leadership duties such as charge nurse or preceptor to students or new staff, participation in unit initiatives, and compliance with professional standards and safety

Qualifications

• Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in Certifications, Licenses and Registrations.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care to patients and maintains medical records.
• Assesses patients, assists with exams and treatments, and educates patients and families.
• Collaborates with physicians and interprofessional team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Demonstrates leadership as charge nurse or preceptor and participates in unit initiatives.
