Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS) is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate patient care using the nursing process. Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited school of nursing.
• Two years of nursing experience.
• Current RN license in Texas or valid Compact RN license.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains positive relationships with Parkland staff and customers.
• Serves as resource for patients and clinical care issues.
• Provides patient and family education and training.
• Participates in community outreach activities when assigned.
• Completes documentation and maintains timely records.
• Works with staff to provide direction to non-nursing personnel.
• Serves as Charge Nurse on rotation and preceptor when needed.
