Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with Utilization/Quality Management and Discharge Planning.
• Knowledge of hospital operations, reimbursement and regulatory matters.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Computer literacy and analytic skills.
• Able to work with patients across all ages.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes Interqual Criteria to review admission and continued stay.
• Documents data (Severity of Illness and Intensity of Service) in MIDAS.
• Collaborates with physicians on LOC concerns and transfers.
• Refs to Physician Advisor and initiates recommendations.
• Demonstrates competency with the MIDAS system.
• Documents diagnoses on admission review and during changes.
• Communicates with patient, family, and care team.
• Documents discharge planning assessments and plans of care.
