Job summary

Morningstar DBRS is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst for their New York office. This role involves acting as a lead analyst on structured finance transactions while conducting thorough analysis on a variety of loan types, including fix-and-flip and prime jumbo RMBS.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree and five years of experience in structured finance. The position offers a competitive salary range of $180,107 - $228,000, along with comprehensive health and financial benefits.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in structured finance as a Credit Analyst or in a related role.
• Expertise in assigning ratings to RMBS transactions.
• Experience performing transaction analysis including collateral analysis.

Responsibilities

• Act as a lead analyst on structured finance transactions.
• Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Produce and publish industry commentaries.

Skills

Strong quantitative and analytical skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Experience with VBA, Python or other programming languages

Education

3- or 4‑year bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Math, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering

Tools

Fixed‑income analytical systems such as Intex (Dealmaker, Calc) and Bloomberg
