Job summary

Fitch Ratings is seeking a Senior Analyst to join the Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities Group (RMBS) in our New York office. You will analyze critical credit, legal and structural elements of RMBS transactions, develop criteria, and produce written reports for rating committees and market commentary.

You will deploy cashflow models and tools, lead or support research projects, and maintain rating relationships while collaborating with Issuers and investors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree minimum in a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience required.
• Experience in capital markets, mortgage markets, and/or credit analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze critical credit, legal and structural elements of RMBS transactions.
• Assist in the development of ratings criteria, including writing relevant reports and developing recommendations to bolster analysis.
• Produce quality internal and external written reports including credit committees, criteria, special reports and market commentary.
• Communicate Fitch rating methodology and criteria to issuers and investors.
• Deployment and implementation of cashflow models and tools used in the rating process.
• Lead and/or support research projects.
• Maintain assigned rating relationship.
