Spectral Labs is building foundation models for engineering physical systems. We’re seeking a Research Scientist to lead reinforcement learning work for engineering design, including environments over CAD geometry, rewards grounded in geometric validity, simulation, and manufacturability.

You will train and scale models at Spectral Labs, SF office, with visa sponsorship available. The role is fully in-person at our SF office.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of research experience in RL, ML, or robotics.
• Strong fundamentals in ML and RL.
• Ability to write training code yourself.

Responsabilités

• Lead RL research for engineering design, building environments over CAD geometry.
• Design rewards grounded in geometric validity, simulation, and manufacturability.
• Oversee post-training of models at scale.
