Job summary

Compass Point, an Akima company, is seeking a Riverbed Engineer (SME) to join our team supporting USSOCOM at MacDill AFB. You will serve as the senior technical authority for Riverbed performance monitoring, digital experience management, and network visibility across enterprise environments.

Responsibilities include architecture, engineering, operations, cybersecurity compliance, and lifecycle management of Riverbed technologies, spanning NIPR, SIPR, and SOCRATES enclaves.

Qualifications

• Blue Team / DoD cybersecurity awareness and STIG compliance
• Experience engineering and supporting Riverbed deployments
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design secure Riverbed monitoring architectures across NIPR, SIPR, and SOCRATES enclaves.
• Engineer scalable deployments for hybrid, virtual, and physical infra.
• Integrate Riverbed tools with SIEM, ITSM, cybersecurity, and monitoring platforms.
• Provide Tier II/III engineering support and root cause analysis.
• Maintain RBAC and auditing policies.
• Administer platform configuration and health monitoring.
• Perform software upgrades, patches, backups, and DR validation.
• Coordinate with cross-domain teams and government leadership.
