Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Senior Business Risk & Control Program Manager in a hybrid role based in Raleigh/Charlotte, NC or Phoenix, AZ. The role focuses on designing and delivering risk training and communications to strengthen risk culture and policy awareness.

You will collaborate with senior leaders to coordinate risk program execution, governance, and regulatory engagement, ensuring timely issue remediation and evidence-based reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience in Financial Services and First Line Risk Management, Enterprise Risk or Operational Risk.
• OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Financial Services and First Line Risk Management, Enterprise Risk or Operational Risk.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in risk programs, risk training, presentation skills, newsletter creation, and communication to executive leaders
• Advanced Degree in Finance or Risk Management
• Knowledge of risk techniques, practices, and control frameworks
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and processes pertaining to enterprise risk and operational risk

Responsibilities

• Maintains deep risk program knowledge and analyzes business trends to identify underlying patterns, interdependencies and risks.
• Oversees the implementation and maintenance of the BU's risk management framework and related policies, standards, and procedures.
• Coordinates regulatory submissions, examinations, and monitoring of regulatory developments.
• Develops and maintains risk reporting frameworks, dashboards, and metrics for senior management
