Capital One is seeking a Sr. Risk Associate in Charlotte, NC to bolster its Risk Infrastructure and Governance team.

You will drive policy development, support regulatory change management, and assess cross-border and country risks while coordinating with Compliance, Legal and other groups to ensure robust risk practices. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
• At least 2 years of Financial Services or Risk Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Leading the Commercial Bank Policy Office: writing, updating, and socializing relevant policies, standards, and procedures.
• Support Regulatory Change Management: research, analysis, and documentation of impacts of new or changed laws, rules, regulations, and resulting requirements.
• Assist Cross Border Banking program: assess risks with foreign borrowers and regulatory requirements.
• Assist International Risk: Country Risk Assessments and drafting Country Exit Plans for in-scope countries.
• Provide strategic reporting for senior executives with accurate metrics.
• Drive Operational Excellence: lead daily task execution across the team.
• Provide coverage for key team functions during transitions or leaves.
• Develop horizontal engagement model clarifying roles and responsibilities across teams.
• Collaborate with Commercial Risk, Compliance, Legal and other groups.
