Job summary

Phyton Talent Advisors seeks a Senior Project Manager to oversee delivery of critical Risk and Regulatory initiatives at a major financial institution. You will manage scope, timelines, and stakeholder engagement, translating complex business needs into actionable IT and functional requirements.

Responsibilities include leading requirements elicitation, cross-functional collaboration across multiple geographies, and governance of testing, training, and change-management activities throughout

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience within large financial institutions.
• Strong experience supporting Risk and Regulatory initiatives, including CCAR, FRTB, or similar programs.
• Hands-on experience with regulatory implementations, reporting, and supporting documentation.
• Strong knowledge of Credit Risk, financial instruments, market data, trading systems, and risk governance.
• Experience within commercial or investment banking.
• Understanding of financial operations, MIS, data management, and reporting processes.
• Experience with Waterfall and Agile project-management frameworks.
• Proficiency with Jira, MS Project, Confluence, ServiceNow, Visio, and Excel.
• Proficiency in SQL; Databricks experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical and financial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, UAT, and post-production support.
• Partner with developers, QA teams, subject-matter experts, business users, and senior management across multiple geographies.
• Perform root cause, gap, and current-state versus future-state analyses.
• Analyze business processes and recommend improvements.
• Translate business needs into clear IT and functional requirements.
• Oversee testing, training, and change-management activities throughout project rollouts.
• Manage project scope, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and action plans.
• Provide regular project updates and recommendations to senior management.
• Manage multiple complex initiatives with minimal supervision.
