Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a highly effective Business-Line Risk Manager to lead Corporate Functions risk oversight for ESA and Finance. You will partner with leadership across three lines of defense to drive risk management, improve controls, and influence strategic decisions.

Responsibilities include risk assessments, governance reporting, and guidance on transformation programs to minimize regulatory and operational risk. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically more than six years of applicable experience in risk management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as risk advisor for ESA and Finance business units.
• Identify risks early and influence decisions.
• Translate complex risk topics into clear recommendations.
• Support risk assessments, control evaluation, and ongoing monitoring.
• Promote consistency in risk management practices.
• Develop concise materials for leadership discussion.
• Provide risk guidance on transformation efforts and new initiatives.
