U.S. Bank is seeking a highly effective Business-Line Risk Manager to lead Corporate Functions risk oversight for ESA and Finance.

This role partners across three lines of defense to drive risk management and strengthen control environments across high-risk processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, deliver concise leadership materials, and influence decisions to mitigate regulatory and operational risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically more than six years of applicable experience.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services and regulatory trends.
• Strong analytical, facilitation and project management abilities.
• Excellent presentation and written and verbal communication.
• Relationship building and negotiation skills.
• Technical aptitude to learn new technology, AI, platforms and trends.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and data handling.
• Applicable professional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary risk advisor for ESA and Finance units.
• Build relationships with leaders to identify risks early and influence decisions.
• Translate complex risk topics into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Support risk assessments, control evaluation and ongoing monitoring.
• Identify risks related to business changes and regulatory expectations.
• Ensure risks are documented and managed per enterprise frameworks.
• Contribute to risk governance routines and leadership reporting.
• Provide risk guidance on transformation efforts and new initiatives.
• Collaborate with Audit, Compliance and Risk partners to drive outcomes.
• Strengthen control environment through issue identification and remediation.
