Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Risk Operations Analyst in the United States to ensure policies, operations, and workflows align with the needs of our financial partners. You will be accountable for workflows across cross-functional stakeholders to identify and assess regulatory, contractual, and partner risk, and to build scalable processes for compliance, SLAs, and risk mitigation.

• 5+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or operations in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience scaling operational processes and driving quantifiable improvements.
• Experience working cross-functionally on complex problems.
• Ability to use data to quantify problems, tell a story, and influence a solution.
• You have a lot of ownership, are accountable, and drive towards ambitious goals.
• Deep empathy for entrepreneurs running a business and motivation to solve problems to empower them.
• Experience analyzing feedback patterns and using those insights to drive process and tooling improvements.
• You meet the minimum requirements to be considered for the role and proactively improve risk controls.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate sound judgment and navigate high-risk decisions.
• Evaluate merchants by assessing suitability to process on Stripe.
• Adhere to process while proposing improvements and following up on implementation.
• Communicate clearly with Stripe employees, users, and financial partners.
• Identify trends and report to cross-functional teams to enhance detection systems.
• Contribute to projects to enhance due diligence strategy systems and tools.
• Help build and scale processes across the risk operations ecosystem.
