Job summary

Amentum seeks a Risk Mitigation Specialist to support the DCSA’s EV unit, focusing on risk indicators, due diligence, and mitigation strategies. The role involves direct collaboration with government and contractor staff to shape risk treatments and ensure compliant, high-quality RMS products.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of risk management experience across relevant domains, plus TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years’ experience in risk treatment or risk management across multiple domains (law, finance, business, security, etc).
• 8+ years’ experience with risk management systems or guidelines (ISO 31000, COSO, etc).
• 8+ years’ experience in verbal and written communication.
• 8+ years’ experience with data analysis, trends, and problem solving.
• 8+ years’ experience identifying trends and recommending solutions.
• 8+ years’ experience in strategic communications with stakeholders, including reports, conferences, and briefings.
• 8+ years’ experience navigating classified/unclassified tech (SharePoint, Office tools).

Responsibilities

• Prepare, implement, and oversee routine RMSs addressing risk indicators with clear treatment rationales.
• Ensure RMSs meet quality standards and internal style guides before dissemination.
• Manage a portfolio of companies under mitigation and provide direction to staff.
• Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to RMOs.
• Conduct peer reviews of RMSs and identify areas for improvement.
• Monitor workload and ensure suspense dates are met; reallocate work as needed.
• Interface with Government customers and present at conferences/meetings on risk management.
