Job summary

Hill International is seeking a Risk Manager in Berkeley, California to lead the ALS-U risk-management program across scope, cost, schedule, and performance. You will develop risk statements, maintain risk entries, and facilitate risk reviews with cross-functional teams.

The role requires coordinating with project controls, vendor performance, and installation-readiness reviews to identify risks, propose mitigation, and support governance decisions.

Qualifications

• Must have strong experience in leading risk-management programs for complex capital projects.
• Proven ability to develop risk statements with clear causality, affected conditions, and consequences.
• Experience facilitating risk workshops and executive-level risk reviews.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the ALS-U Risk Management Plan, risk taxonomy, scoring criteria, and governance cadence.
• Maintain project risk register and configuration-controlled records.
• Serve as principal project advisor on risk-management matters and provide objective assessments of threats and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain integrated cost and schedule risk-analysis models, perform Monte Carlo simulations, and assess uncertainty.
• Coordinate with Project Controls to map risk events to P6 activities, milestones, and budgets.
